About the Role
TechDefense is hiring skilled Field Technicians to support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our network infrastructure, especially the T-Net community broadband project. This role is crucial to ensuring that our systems operate consistently, reliably, and safely in real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, testing, and configuration of network equipment (routers, access points, solar systems, cabling, etc.).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity and equipment issues during field service calls.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure all systems perform at optimal levels.
- Document all field activities, service reports, and technical findings accurately.
- Provide clear technical support and guidance to clients during installations and handovers.
- Support rollout activities including site setup, power systems, wireless coverage testing, and alignment.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards, equipment protocols, and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma/certification or equivalent training in telecommunications, networking, IT, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in field service, equipment installation, or infrastructure support preferred.
- Understanding of networking, wireless technologies, and basic electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
